Introduction

Following the recent introduction of United Institute as the overarching brand for our parent institution, we are also proud to formally introduce the identity of United International Business Schools (UIBS) and European College for Liberal Studies (ECLS).

UIBS

UIBS will now be known as the United International Business School (UIBS). We are dropping the final ‘s’ in order to clearly identify as a single school – spanning multiple campuses – and no longer as a group of schools the way it was originally conceived in 2006 when the name was introduced.

ECLS

ECLS will now be known as the United School for Liberal Studies (USLS). We are reinforcing its integration with United Institute by focusing on its true United character rather than its European character the way it was originally conceived in 2015 when the name was introduced. , thereby encompassing the full range of programs as per the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

Common identity

This partial rebranding was initiated by the need for a cohesive approach across both schools and their respective programs, as part of our institutional strategy. Our refreshed identity reflects our commitment to providing our students with a consistent and memorable educational experience and to offer them access to a wide range of programs across multiple disciplines. Our common identity highlights our united academic community, making clear to prospective students the kind of community they will join and the kind of community that our alumni will always remain part of. This transformation is expected to materialize fully by January 2024.
